Keyboard shortcuts not functioning

Hello everyone. I use InDesign everyday, and have for a decade. I opened InDesign 2025 v20.1 this morning and started inserting some photos. My keyboard shortcuts (i.e. shift and shift+option) are not working for constraining the size of photos while I resize either them or the frame they are in. Any assistance would be fantastic, thank you.

I would like to follow up and know if the suggestion from @leo.r helped you resolve the issue? If not, you might want to try running InDesign in Safe Mode to check if any third-party software is interfering.

I had to restart my computer, but the constrain proportions is working again, so that's great. HOWEVER, presentation view is not working now. So shift+W does nothing 😞

Glad constrain proportions is working again! For Shift+W (Presentation Mode), did you get a chance to try @18903753.r’s steps and test in Safe Mode? Let me know what you find!

correction: I meant shift+cmd. I am on a Mac.
