Question

Lately can't open my documents from within InDesign

Is anyone else finding that they can no longer open their documents from within indesign? As a work around I have double click on the document in the finder or drag onto the indesign icon in the dock. This is happening with documents recently created too. It is really slowing down my workflow.

The latest version of Sonoma is 14.3.1 - maybe it will help if you upgrade?

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
