The latest version of InDesign doesn't even open up, it crushes every time.

might be a bug or your macbook doesn't have good enough specs? The CC app should tell you if the program will run on your machine. If you go to th 3 dots, then Learn More, it should ay if it will run on your device.

If it says it should run on your device this is maybe a question better asked/reported to adobe through the chat support.

You can also install the previous version again, via the three dots.

Thank you for the tip! I have plenty of space and this pop-up menu doesn't appear in my version, but space is not the problem I guess.

The way it went today was: click to open - welcome-loading-window - crush, click to open - welcome-loading-window - crush (18.5)

Had to re-install 18.4 which works fine.

Chiming in to say I had the exact same issue — plenty of space, works on my device, but the welcome loading window just crashes every time. I did uninstall and re-install the current version of InDesign yesterday and it worked for exactly one open cycle. (I did what I needed and closed it, then when I try to open it again it does the instant crash.) I'm going to try re-installing 18.4 instead.
