Latest version of InDesign 2024, M4 Mac Mini, Sequoia: Style Panel trouble

When I use the style panels for character or paragraph and it shows overrides and I option click on the override, instead of clearing the override I get a duplicate of the style.

I have deleted preferences, deleted and re-installed InDesign, I have rebuilt my keyboard shortcuts. NO change.

 

Shortly, if I have any patience left because I have many articles to set, I will re-install the operating system and see what happens next.

Not sure if it's related - but try disabling Magnet app.

    Thanks, Robert. I started to think it was a mouse vs screen issue. Switched off Magnet and normalcy returned to InDesign.
