Layers lost in INDCC file format

Question

I am trying to recover layers that were hidden in a file when it was saved as INDCC. Does the INDCC file format compress the file and delete hidden layers? I am missing 8 layers that were hidden in a document that contained various langauge translation. Thanks!

When you save as a cloud document (.indcc), normally there should be no changes in your file.

What are your InDesign and operating system versions? How did the problem happen? Did you open an .indd file that contained hidden layers, then save it as a cloud document, close the cloud document, and once you opened it again, the layers weren't there? I couldn't reproduce this issue under this scenario.

Also, try the Window > Version History panel, maybe you can recover an earlier version with the layers there.
