Leader in Tabs

I can't seem to be able to choose the leader style I would like in tabs. There used to be a drop down list where you could see possible styles, but I don't see that now. Any help?

I don't recall a drop-down menu. As far as I can remember, you always typed what you wanted into the leader box.

But you could create an underline style and apply it to the tab character.

    Hi Mesa:

So glad that worked for you.

I haven't used PageMaker in at least 15 years, but I don't recall a drop-down menu, there either. I feel like it worked the same way, but I may well be wrong about that! 🤷🏼‍

    Hi Mesa:

To define leader dots (in this and all earlier versions of InDesign) you enter the repeating character (or up to 8 characters) into a text box:

What style were you looking for? Maybe we can help.

It was just periods and your suggestion worked. Maybe I'm going all the way back to PageMarker, but I definitely remember a drop-down list with types of leaders to choose from. Thanks.
