Linking already full but separate textboxes

Hi all,

I created some text boxes without linking them but would now like them linked so that if I extend the text in box one it will flow into box two.  Is this possible?  When I just try to link in the normal way it changes the format of the text in box two.

Yes, with the Type tool selected click the outport on the bottom right of the frame - and click the inport of the other frame on the top left.

 

This links the frames so text flows.

If text is changing - it's likely due to bad paragraph/character styling

Adjust your paragraph and character styles accordingly or make a copy of your frame to the pasteboard so you can manually adjust your text back to the way you want it.
