Load style not working

I have 20 INDD files in a book. I want to LOAD STYLES and move a style from one document to others. I follow the instructions but the style does not load to move to another document. Anyone know why?

Note how the double indent style from chapter 7 did not load to move to chapter 10. Thanks.

Load Styles is used to add styles to another document. It doesn't do a synchronization and wouldn't replace one style with another.  Synchronizing document in a Book document will do that.

You say you have InDesign files in a Book. Are you. using the InDesign Book file format (.indb)?

Because if you are you would use the Synchronize option to update Paragraph Styles as shown below:

Thank you that worked. Synchronize option to get paragraph styles to every INDD in an INDB.
