Localizing Bookmarks (in an automated way)

Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to localize bookmarks.

I am currently using a translation management platform to localize idml files which works great. Scripts allow me to re-sort any content in a semi-automated fashion.

However I have not found a way to localize bookmarks of the Indesign file in a semi-automated way.

Is there any solution for this instead of manually renaming all bookmarks?

Can't check right now - but Bookmark's names should be available in the IDML?

If not - do you need a complete solution - or partial?

Complete - export of the current names then import translations.

Partial - you already have a list and just need to replace.

My solution would work only on Windows - and isn't free - but I can give you access to the full version for free for a few days.
