Locking High Quality Display?

I have a document into which I've imported a number of vector images. I've selected these and activated High Quality Display (Object>Display Performance>High Quality Display). This makes the images look terrific! If I save the file and close the program, however, the next time I open the document all of my images have reverted to Typical Display. Is there a way to 'lock' the High Quality Display setting?

I prefer to redefine Typical View. Go to Indesign > Preferences > Display Performance. Under Adjust View Settings select Typical, then move the slider for Vector Graphics all the way to the right for High Resolution. Now all your vector images (actually, all images that InDesign assumes are vector: PDF, EPS, and AI) will be rendered in high resolution when you’re using Typical Display.

Same I always choose, Tyical with Vectors high. And greeking set to 0. Best balance between speed and display quality. And, mostly GPU off on my Mac because GPU render still had problems (Knock Out groups in trannsparency for once and rendering of RGB colors, the latter is more correct in CPU than GPU...)
