Losing drop shadows in multi page pdf conversion

I am losing drop shadows and am getting what I assume to be corrupt conversions of them when exporting a multi page pdf. The strange thing is that if i export the pages as single pages I do not lose anything and everything is as it should look. I have tried a number of different pdf conversions and versions and nothing seem to help.

    The reason we ask what version and what OS version is that some problems come because of incompatibility of older versions of InDesign and newer operating system versions. We do need to know to be able to eliminate that as the problem.

    I have actually used every version available. I have also tried a few

    different settings in layers and no difference.
