Losing Formatting when Moving Pages Between Documents

I am trying to move pages from one document to another, and when I do, I lose all formatting (paragraph styles) and text wrapping. Is this a bug or are there preferences I need to adjust to maintain my page during the move?

But, you can load the paragraph styles from the old one into the new one via the Paragraph Styles panel menu. You can pick and choose which ones you want to import—but this does override the definitions of the paragraph tags in the new file, so work on a copy until you understand the ramifications. (This works for character styles, object styles—where the text wrap settings may be stored— along with table and cell styles.)

Thank you! I I practiced loading all of the elements/styles in a new document and it was a beautiful thing. Appreciate the help!

Any matching master page names and styles will be overridden and assigned using the definitions in the incoming document.
