Is it possible to embed an Indesign newsletter which includes text, logo, and photographs in an email without losing clarity?

    Not really, no. HTML format mail is made with special apps, and it's no use trying to do better by using fancier apps. Mail is very limited and many people only get plain text anyway (read your mail with images blocked to make sure it explains enough for people to want to load images).
