lost up to date file in indesign

Hopefully, you have two versions of the same file in your system. And you've opened the wrong one.

• If you can, close the offending InDesign file without saving it
• Navigate to the file through the Finder window (Mac) or File Explorer window (Windows).
• Check the last modified date on the file, which will hopefully show that it was last modified 13 days ago.

If you were saving your file all day yesterday, it would show a last modified date of yesterday. If your offending file has a last modified date 13 days ago, you likely have another one hanging around somewhere else on your system/local network/cloud resources.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Was the file saved locally or on any network or shared drive? If the file was saved on any network or shared drive then you can check the locally synced folder of that drive to see if you can find the recent version of the file there.
