M1 and InDesign Issues

Has anyone been experiencing sound issues when running InDesign and Apple Music or steaming a video? My sound starts to stutter and my computer slows down. Usually restarting or quitting InDesign resolves the issue.

 

It also is messing with the spacing when I export and if I'm changing copy all the text disappears.

 

Loads of issues that's making my job very very difficult.

    Sorry to hear about your experience. Text disappearing is a known issue, and the product team is aware of it. I will request you to share a few more details it will help us investigate the issue further:

    • The exact version of macOS & InDesign
    • Does turning off "GPU Performance" from InDesign Preferences > GPU Performance > uncheck GPU Performance helps to resolve the issue?
    • Is there any document opened in InDesign when the sound gets started to stutter? If yes, would it be possible for you to share the download link of that document with us here or via DM?
    • Screenshot of "About This Mac." (both Overview and Displays tab)
    • Are you using an external monitor(s)? If yes, with which port and cable combination it is connected.
    • What is the scaled resolution of your screen & Monitor(s)?
    • Does setting the scaled Display resolution as 1920 x 1080 or below from the System Preferences help resolve the issue?

    Thanks for the response!

    I'm running macOS 12.1 & InDesign 17.0.1.

    Turning off GPU Performance doesn't make much of a difference.

    It doesn't happen with a specific document, but when working on any document.

    I am not using an external monitor.
