Hi @Lucas_Le lan1156 , I missed your 2nd screen capture. Looks like your images are RGB and your background color is the default CMYK [Black].

The display of CMYK 0|0|0|100 black depends on your document’s assigned CMYK profile (Edit>Assign Profiles, not Color Settings CMYK). Also make sure Color Management is turned on—Color Settings should not be set to Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS Off.

There is also an Appearance of Black Preference, which lets you always display profiled CMYK black as absolute black (Rich Black), which is useful if you are designing for screens and not offset printing.

If you are designing for print your background black color should contain CMY, a "rich black", something like 65|50|50|100:

Hi @Lucas_Le lan1156,

It sounds frustrating to see your colors shift when switching between Mac and Windows! To answer your question to Rob, you can turn on Overprint Preview by going to View > Overprint Preview in InDesign. This helps ensure colors are previewed more accurately.

As for Bill’s suggestion, when you get back to the Mac, checking that both systems have identical Edit > Color Settings is definitely worth a try, as differences in color profiles can cause color inconsistencies.

Let us know how it goes, and if you need more help when you’re back on your Mac, feel free to reach out! 😊

Best,
Anshul Saini

Check Edit>Color Settings in both versions of InDesign that you are using to make sure that the color settings for each are identical.

Hi @Lucas_Le lan1156 , What is the color mode of the image. Do the colors match if you turn on Overprint Preview?
