MacBook Air (M1, 2020) - InDesign keeps stalling

I recently upgraded to MacBook Air (M1, 2020),  macOS Big Sur 11.1 and InDesign is constantly stalling (pausing for about 30 seconds before it starts up again).  It is as if it needs to catch up with what I'm doing.

Is this a known bug with the new processing chip?  Is there a fix?  Thanks

Is this the only app you're having problems with?

As it stands now, if you're running InDesign CC202X on a Silicon Mac, you're running it through an emulator. Like ARM processing translated into Intel i5 terms. There are betas for running Photoshop and Premiere natively on Silicon Macs, but if you have problems with those programs Adobe reps will respond with "if you find a fix, would you please let us know?"

But Intel emulation on Silicon Macs? There's no tellin' — much less any real knowin' — what to expect out of the deal.

It's probably not much help, but this help document will let you know where you stand with this issue:

Sorry I don't have better news for you,

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I also have a problem with Dreamweaver, Live function does not work, and I reported it a few weeks ago.  I was told it was the new Silicon Apple chip.

I'm hoping the Adobe experts find a fix to these.  I can work around the Dreamweaver Live function easily enough but the stalling on InDesign is truly problamatic.

cheers.

Those decisions are far above my pay grade. I'm an end user, just like you. But I'm pretty confident that Adobe is working on the solution.

Rest assured, your issues will be fixed presently. There are lots of folks who are working on accommodating you.

Hang tight. More cool stuff is coming.
