Question

Maintain google doc links when pasting text into InDesign

I'm creating a collection of PDFs from google docs and although copy and pasting from docs to indesign works pretty well, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the links to paste as well. Seems like a lot of work to go back into the indesign documents to select words and then create hyperlinks which is actually kind of a clunky process to begin with.

Have you checked out Em Software's DocsFlow?

http://emsoftware.com/products/docsflow/

They have a 15-day trial.

From the user guide:

  • Hyperlinks translate as InDesign hyperlinks.

Did you find any solution to this?

Everything I've tried does not carry over the hyperlink like every other software platform in the world does. Hello Adobe, is the backend of InDesign still running on 1980s code? I have to work from a Google Doc with over 100 links. Any easy way to do this?
