We're sorry to hear about your experience. I agree with jmlevy & Barb. It could be related to another app running in the background grabbing the key modifiers.

Sometimes other applications will interfere with InDesign's modifier keys. Try closing all apps and rebooting your computer. Only open InDesign. Does the Shift key work again? If not, take a look at the applications that auto-load when the computer starts up. Once you are aware of the issue, you can usually figure out the offending application.

Avec quelle version d'InDesign ? Je n'ai aucun problème avec 2020 et 2021. La première chose à faire est de réinitialiser les préférences. Il faut relancer l'application tout en appuyant simultanément sur Maj, Ctrl, Alt [Windows], Maj, Ctrl, Alt et Cmd [Mac] jusqu'à l'apparition du message demandant confirmation.
