making text readonly

Hello
I want to make the text read only, in a text frame. i have tried createoutline but that is not solving my problem as i want my own way to make the text read only so that i can convert it back afterwards. whereas what outline do is that it makes the text to an inline path and then i cant convert it back. does any one has a clue how to proceed towards this?

Hello
What actually i want to do is that i want to add a personal non-editable word in every text frame.Now is there any possibility that i just move the cursor across the word if the cursor becomes at the starting position of my word.Any one having any gud help which can lead me to the solution.
