Question

Master Pages

I have a file with 23 different masters (all same background) but prices alter so 23 are needed, then the client goes from A2 to A3 (so do via liquid page) however, masters stay at A2 and when I drag one down to add a late product it messes up all the others. Any advice to maybe changing masters all at once, when i do that it does everything but the text file i need for pricing the product, that stays as A2

thanks

If you just need to resize an entire InDesign file, master pages and all, to a new size, it's a one-click job with my (not free) https://www.id-extras.com/products/quickresize/

Hi,

We would need more details to really understand what you need but I found that in situation like the one you describe:

  1. making master pages use another master page for what they have in common can help
  2. switching content quickly on the page using conditional text is really powerful How to Use Conditional Text in Adobe InDesign | Adobe Education Exchange

Conditional text is the best option, also consider using layers. Another option would be to create a new A3 file and use the Multipageimporter script (not included with InDesign) to place the original InDesign file fitted to the new page size.
