I wrote a textbook where I placed hundreds of equations in Mathtype. To Mathtype I changed the fonts by default and used Cambria and Cambria math. I printed in PDF many times withou problems. Then I had to format the computer and the character equations now appear with a question mark. I know that changing each equation for Time New Roman, the problem is solved, but I am looking for a better method because there are hundreds of equations that I have to modify.

Why can you not simply buy the Cambria font and load it onto your computer? I checked and Cambria is available for purchase from https://www.whatfontis.com/all-fonts.html. I'm sure that it is available at other websites if you do a search. You didn't say what kind of computer you have but if you no longer have the Cambria fonts since your machine was reformatted that would be so because anything other than the system fonts would have to be reloaded onto the hard drive after a clean reinstall. If you don't know how to do this then see https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-install-fonts-in-windows-10/ for a PC or https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201749 for a Mac.
