Question

Mes fichiers ne s'ouvrent plus

Bonjour,

Hi @Yvan32958491xq3t

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing the same issue.

Could you please confirm your InDesign version, macOS/Windows version, whether the issue affects one file or multiple files, and whether the files are stored locally, on a network drive, or in Creative Cloud? If the files aren't stored locally, please copy one of the affected files to your Desktop/Documents folder and try opening it again. Also, check if there's a .idlk lock file next to the INDD file and, if InDesign is closed, delete it before testing again.

To rule out any third-party interference, could you also test the issue in Safe Mode?

The error message can sometimes appear if the document was created using a plug-in that's no longer installed. If you're still unable to open the file after trying the above steps, please share the affected file with us for investigation. You can send it via Direct Message or share it using a cloud service such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek

Hello @Sphynx-Mojo,

That does seem strange. Could you check if this issue occurs with files stored in a specific folder location? If yes, try moving the file(s) to a local folder on your computer and then opening it to see if it helps. If the problem persists, kindly share a link to a sample file after uploading it to a file-sharing service, so we can check it on our end.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Anubhav,

Thank you for your response.

Yes the problem is persisting no matter the file location. I tried opening it from the desktop, tried on a different laptop as well but I get the same error message. The files are approximately 2 Mo (they are 1 page invoices with just a little text) so I don't know if they are completely corrupted?
The current files have sensitive information from my clients. So I'll try to recreate a sample file and share it if the problem occurs again. In the meantime is there anything else I could try to recover them?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Jeremy
