    Hi @pierres60168734 and @MONSIEUR5C34,

Thanks again for your patience and for sharing the dump file.

The team has investigated this further and confirmed that the Windows update banner is expected behavior introduced in newer versions of InDesign. However, adjustments have now been applied for the affected accounts to prevent this banner from appearing unexpectedly.

Could you please sign out of the Creative Cloud Desktop app, sign back in, and then relaunch InDesign after clearing the app preferences/cache? After that, please test again and let us know if the issue is resolved on your end.

    Looking forward to your update.

    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi @Abhishek Rao Abhishek,

For now, it seems to be working well with 21.4 version. If I have any further problems, I will report them. Thank you for your prompt response.

    Hi @MONSIEUR5C34,

Thanks for sharing the details and sorry to hear that you experience this issue. Could you please share a screenshot or a short screen recording showing this in action, as requested above? That will help us better understand exactly what’s appearing on your screen and how it’s behaving.

In the meantime, I’d also recommend resetting InDesign preferences manually by following the video at the bottom of this article:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html

Please try this and let me know how it goes, and feel free to share the recording so we can take this further if needed.

Can you share the screenshot of what you are seeing. That would help to understand the problem better.

    Hi @MONSIEUR5C34

Thanks for sharing the screenshots, that really helps clarify what you're seeing.

The red prompts you’re encountering were introduced in InDesign 21.3 to help users avoid issues like Error 2 or crashes when saving files, especially when working with synced locations. You can read more about this here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/error-2-or-crash-during-file-save-operations.html

That said, these prompts are not intended to block you from working or prevent you from closing InDesign, even if Windows updates cannot be applied due to company restrictions.

Since you're also seeing the app not closing due to a background task that isn't visible, I'd like to investigate this further. Could you please share a crash dump by following the steps in this article?
    https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

I look forward to your update, and I'll take this forward with the team.

    Abhishek
