Question

Missing font in a style

Hi everyone.
I encounter the following problem. I'm working on a document that has a lot of paragraph styles and as many character styles. Not all of these styles are used simultaneously in the document. While applying a style, I realized that it was using a missing font. When opening the document, Indesign does not detect the missing font because the style is not used in the document. The find/replace font menu only works for fonts (and therefore styles) actually used in the document. My question is, is there a way to preflight the set of fonts that are used in paragraph and character styles? I have over 100 Indesign files which include over 50 styles to control...I hope I was clear, thanks for your help

Delete the unused styles.

Or you can use the Type>Find Font and select 'change style' when applying the font update.

Ultimately, best advice is to have the needed font installed on your system.
