Missing fonts error

Hi,

I designed a magazine using InDesign and I have the "missing fonts" error. I can still add the fonts that it says they're missing/ I can still edit the texts and they are visible in pdf format. I have to give the print center documents in idd format and I am anxious that the "missing fonts" are going to cause some trouble when printing. If there's a way to "rasterize" them like in photoshop maybe that would help. I don't know. Can someone help me fix it?

You say you can "add the fonts." Are they installed or not? If they're not installed you must install them and I warn you...sending an INDD file to a printer is not something I can remotely recommend. Get the fonts installed and send a PDF.

Note: Type 1 fonts are no longer supported and you'll need to replace them.

Hi,

Our organisation have been using HelveticaNueue as company brand fonts ever since company was eshtablised. Now when designers try to access old files created using these fonts, They get missing font error. Even when complete font family pack is installed locally in laptops and also uploaded in Creative Cloud. Is there any way that we can make it work?

You are probably seeing a case of different or multiple versions of the fonts being installed over time. The version listed in your error message is a Linotype paid license version.

Are you using Open type fonts? If not and you are using Postscript Type 1 fonts then the latest versions of InDesign and the Mac OS will not recognize them. You will have to replace them with either Open Type (most reliable and completely cross platform) or True Type (available for Mac or PC but not completely cross platform) fonts.

InDesign list the fonts that missing at bottom of the font tab, as you can see they are mostly from cloud or otf
