Missing Fonts error when exporting a book

First, the general caveat/warning: exporting fonts to EPUB is a tricky process at best, and is generally obsolete/deprecated, at least for reflowable EPUB. So the correct solution would be to not export the fonts and thus eliminate the problem you're seeing.

If fonts must be exported — as required for FXL or fixed-layout EPUB, for one thing — then the fonts have to be licensed and available for such export. Not all are, although it's usually one or two oddball fonts obtained from some questionable source and that it's sixteen almost certainly means most of those are standard Adobe and other fonts that are allowed to export to digital documents.

So let's start from the beginning: what platform and OS are you using? What version of InDesign? And what format are you exporting to, reflowable EPUB or FXL/Fixed Layout EPUB?

Other details will help, such as a general description of the project and what fonts you are using and trying to export. Note on top of all the above that sixteen fonts is a lot, and will add considerable bulk to the exported book — which is another reason font export/embedding is usually avoided.

Would you mind telling us if these are Adobe fonts or third-party fonts? If these are Adobe fonts, are they showing activated in the Creative Cloud Desktop app? 

Are you able to see these fonts in other Adobe apps like Photoshop and Illustrator? 

Does the issue happen with this specific file or all files?
