Missing Fonts in graphic

I am creating a flier for a realtor. They have provided a pdf of a floor plan that needs to be used in the design. When I place the pdf in Indesign and try to save I get a warning that I am missing some fonts. The odd thing is some of the fonts are common and I most definitely have (such as Arial and Verdana). When I go to the find font option I can see all the missing fonts however it will not allow me to replace or substitute the missing fonts. Why is this and how do I fix it? I am using Indesign CC 2019 on a mac.

Bit late to the topic but there is an easy workaround: when placing a pdf, check the 'Create Static Captions' box in the window where you select the document (when using ctrl-D). This gives you the option to place the embedded texts 'separately' or reject them after placing the pdf file.

Or use the Windows 'Print to PDF' feature.

FWIW: if you do have these fonts available in your system, you could try Embed fonts fixup in Acrobat.

    More details here.

Hardly you can do anything directly in InDesign regarding this issue.
