Missing MS Word Track Change

Hi all,

I'm trying to import a MS word into Indesign, and want to keep all MS Word track changes in InDesign. Unfortunately, which only can keep all track changes in the "Story", but without "Tables" all changes, any suggestion to fix it?

(*which result check from javascript "app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().changes.length")

Have you experimented with Show Import Options when you place the word docx? You can choose to keep track changes alive into InDesign.

I think this is one of the lower-reliability import features; what the OP is seeing is the limit of what it can bring in. (I'm working from largely failed efforts to usefully bring tracking over, in some while-back projects. Maybe I missed something or the process has improved...)

I dunno. My word docx wishlist is pretty long when it comes to show import options.

Basically, since the OP hasn't described the matter with much detail, you and I get to play 20 questions. I'm trying to tease out what has and hasn't been done.

I am not sure ID imports Word's 'track changes' information, at all or in any useful manner. For the most part, Word's structural elements are left behind for something of a "the text you see is the text you get" result.
