Mouse is not working correctly InDesign

Hello.

 

I'm currently working on a layout in InDesign CC. I have the most updated version and the file size isn't huge. For some reason, and only when working in InDesign, my mouse is extremely jittery and not fluid. It skips all over the place and it's adding to my work time. If I switch to any other program or desktop other than InDesign the mouse works fine. So it's not the mouse. Does anyone have any solutions? Please and thank you

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Please share the version of OS. Also let us know if it is happening with a specific file or multiple.
If you are using Windows machine, I'd recommend to update Windows and Graphics Card Driver to the latest version.

You may also try resetting the preferences as well. Please follow the steps provided on https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html#restore_all_preferences_and_default_settings

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
