Moving Master Pages And Styles

I have an InDesign file that has many master pages. Some of them have to get moved to another InDesign doc. The master pages have many parapgrah, character and object styles. Right now when I move a page, the styles don't move with it.

Is there a way to get the styles to move with the pages or do I have to manually load them from the orignal  and assign them?

@Chris Panny

Or you can use Book option - and synchronise things you want to transfer.

Styles and masters/parents have nothing to do with each other.
in the panel menus you can import masters/parents from the page panel menu. From the object style menu you can import object styles from another document, from the text styles you can import object those styles and from cell and table style panel menu you can do the same.

That means I'd have to reassign the styles to the text all over again. That will take too much time.

I think what I'll do is go to the page that needs to be moved and do a select all and copy it. Then move the page. Switch over to the doc where the page was moved to. Do a select all and delete the contents and do a paste in place.

What do you think of this idea?

It's only an island if you look at it from the water.

When you define next style and define paragraph style and next style in object styles you can format huge amounts of text with a single click.
