Moving objects in InDesign

Question

When I drag an object it jumps instead of smoothly moving. That causes an issue when I’m trying to align and I can’t because of the jumping.  I recently upgraded to Sonoma on my MacBook and this issue began. I read some forums online and it seems to be a few bugs with Sonoma and InDesign. I already checked the GPU option to address the flickering but this issue still lies. Any help would be appreciated.

Sonoma and InDesign are not yet fully compatible — there are many threads on here about the issue. It's not a trivial issue , but seems to be something basic at the OS/UI/app level. I would not expect it to be solved in any short time frame. You may wish to roll back to Ventura if you can.
