Moving pages without loosing animation timing

Dear Adobe Community and experts

I have created several 100+ page documents which include some fairly complex animations. As you'd expect, these animations are controlled by the animation and timing palettes.

I now have to move/merge many of the pages from one document to another using the pages palette. The really annoying thing is that when I use the pages panel to move the content from one file to the other, the ordering and linking in the timing panel is lost in the destination document.

Can anyone suggest a solution. It would save me many hours re-doing all my work in the timing palette.

By the way, this problem has been posted a number of times over the last few years but nowhere have I found a solution.
