Multi brand document

Question

We have 20+ locations and growing. Each location has a unique name and branding, but all of the brands share similar design basics. For example, they all use three colors, the logos are all the same aspect ratio, they have the same fonts, and they use the same imagery. I'm trying to see if there is a way to have one document with multiple pages, and each page contains some type of a tag for each element (colors, logo, fonts, etc). Rather than creating a copy of the page/template and updating all the branding manually - one location at a time, is there a way to automatically apply those elements? Let me try explaining it another way. I would like to create a template and be able to say apply one brand design per brand x 20+ locations within the same project. Is this possible?

A database plugin, such as EasyCatalog, InData, or DataLinker, should work. As should a variable data printing (VDP) plugin.

You could use Master Pages and Layers within one document (project). Start with the first Master page, a base Master page with common elements, then copy that and apply the different colors and so on to the next. You could use Layers for standing/common elements across all brands and toggle visibility/invisibility on the layers. To automate the process from a database/spreadsheet, you'd need the aforementioned plugins or custom scripting.
