Multi state object

What could be the reason that in my (Dutch InDesign CC) control panel Object States, the options to add new objects to a state as well as to paste an object in a selected state, are not active (grey in the drop down menu)?

the word to emphasize on is "workaround".

Best to have a "workaround" that "works".

Would you suggest EPUB as a better option to have the slideshow in the InDesign-layout?

I exported the slideshow as an EPUB and saw that transparency is not supported.

Is this happening on all documents or just one?

In a fresh document I have been able to import a new object in a new status. (As I had been in InDesign CS5...)

So far I have not yet been able to make a button or hot spot show the next objects in a pdf, like in slide show.

In text it does not seem to be so difficult.

You have to have something in the clipboard to paste, and have both the new object and the multi-state object selected to add to the object:

  • To paste objects into an existing state, cut or copy one or more objects, select the multi-state object, select the state in the Object States panel, and choose Paste Into State from the Object States panel menu.
  • To add an object to an existing state, select both the object and the multi-state object, and then click the Add Objects To Visible State button.
