Question

Multiple Page Numbering / Counter

Hi,

I would like to create multiple page numbering in my document.

One page numbering would count all the pages from 1 to the last page.

The second one would be a page counter of the pages of the different PDFs loaded in the document (i. e. page 1 of 6).

Is this even possible? If so, is it possible to create a correlation to the pages of the PDF loaded?

Thanks for any Help

You can use the standard page numbering for the 1-to-end numbers.

Use a numbered list for the second number; numbered lists require one to enter content to trigger the auto-number, such as a space.

Without knowing all the particulars, I would put a separate text frame on the parent page, override it as needed [Cmd+Shift click (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift click (Win)] and enter a space.

Send me a sample page of what you have so far and I'll work on it after my class. Use the forum message to send the link.
