Multiple spreads on wide screens

Wide monitors (as docking stations) is the new thing now.
As I don’t think this is possible as of today in InDesign, is it possible to increase number of spreads sideways on a monitor?
For a standard magazine, pages on a spread shows like this:
   | 1

2 | 3

4 | 5
etc.

So I am wondering if it’s possible to go to:

   | 1     2 | 3

4 | 5     6 | 7

etc.

Or is this a feature you don’t recommend?
