Multiversion Plugin development for CS3/4/5 possible?

I wrote a Plugin for Indesign with CS4 SDK, i am porting it to CS3 and 5 right now.

Is it possible to compile a Plugin for Indesign that runs whit CS3, 4 and 5 or do i have to distribute (to let an installer detect the installed Indesign version and let it choose between) 3 different versions of my Plugin?

Yes the same source is clear.

I just have read about other adobe products (photoshop, after effects) users who used their CS4 plugins in cs5. Then i was of course asking myself what the difference could bee.

But until now i did not try to run adobes factory plugins in another indesign version.
