My Indesign Project Won't Open

"Adobe Indesign 2023 has encountered a problem ana needs to close."

 

I've been making a catalog in indesign for about 10 days, I'm very close to finishing the catalog tonight. I extracted a small pdf, saved my indesgin project and closed it but when I try to reopen it, it doesn't open the project. I can open a new file but not the project. Please help, it is very important and urgent.

 

I sent an Adobe bug report but no response yet. Help, please!

If you're a windows user you can also try this tool to blind open and export to .idml: INDDRecovery — a program for restoring corrupted InDesign documents

https://markzware.com/products/file-recovery-service/ also offers a paid file recovery service. 

 

Looking ahead, remember to create incremental backups every day, or even multiple times a day. Drives crash. Files become corrupt. You want to be proactive on your backups to prevent this situation from reoccurring.
