As stated above I should be able to install and run InDesign on my computer. However Adobe will not let me download it as it says i dont meet the minnimum requirments. I checked my PC and it does meet the requirments yet I continue to get the same message. Also really annoying that Adobe places this message after I already put in my credit card information. You couldn't have bothered to tell me it wont work before I give you money? kinda scummy

As noted, we're all just users here. But I'd bet that your system is falling short in one of two places: adequate RAM (8GB required and 16GB is recommended), or you have an older CPU that doesn't support AVX2 (advanced extensions). The latter is a bit cryptic and can easily be overlooked in glancing at a list of requirements.

This is a forum of users - like you.

Can you post some screenshots of the website you are downloading from?

Let's back up shall we. We're not mindreaders so you need to tell us, your exact system specs including full version and build of Windows and amount of RAM and which version of InDesign (either 2024 or 2025 are available).

also the creative cloud install keeps being .dmg instead of .exe despite the fact i'm on PC. I literally cant use a single piece of the product I just paid $23 for

Sounds frustrating for sure.

There is a free trial that could have pointed out this flaw but unfortunately it wasn't utilised. That's a pity.

You should be able to download the installer here

https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/indesign/get-started.html

But as others have said - you'll need to give us your system specs and more information/screenshots of what is happening.
