Need Help with MathML Fonts in InDesign

Hi everyone! 

I'm new to InDesign and MathML, and I’ve been trying to change the font family for equations but couldn’t figure out how to do it. Is there a way to customize the font?

If not, does anyone know what the default font for MathML equations in InDesign is?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

No offence to you @Frans v.d. Geest - but who marked this answer as correct?

 

In the notification email - there is no info who - just that it has been marked as correct - but it isn't a correct answer?

 

And there are a lot of markings like that - without info who.

The answer is correct, you can not change the font (at least, for now)

Hi @sushant_8797,

 

Thanks for your patience! I checked with the product team, and currently, there isn't an option to customize the font for MathML equations in InDesign. The default font used is MathJax TeX, which comes with MathJax 3.x.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    InDesign uses Computer Modern as the default font. It's possible to set some attributes. The article that Robert linked to doesn't show how InDesign was made to use Cambria, but this thread:

    shows some font attributes that can be specified, so the font family should be possible as well.

        Author of the article being referenced there. Looks like I have it incorrect as the Adobe source below says it is MathJax TeX, so will adjust that shortly.

        There is an InDesign Uservoice request that indicates they may be adding future features now that it's there (but for now there isn't) https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/32805088-mathml-support
