New to this. Error message when importing xml file into indesign

The message is "Character name incorrect. Line : 1, column : 700"

acutally i work with a french version of indd so the message is in french, but that's what it says.

My boss gave me a filemaker pro file, and she says that I should be able to import the data into my InDesign book layout. It is supposed to make everything much easier and faster... but I still have to understand how it works. I think I should be able to understand the basic principles if I could only import the XML file !

Who can help me with my first problem... (more to come, probably ! 🙂

Thanks a lot,

Marike

Hi from France,

Is your project related to scripting or native XML data processing into Indesign ?

In case 2, I will recommend the James Maivald Bible :

Hope it helps.
