Hi all,

The latest release for InDesign (15.0.1) is live now. In this release, we fixed some stability issues reported after the MAX release.

Please check this link for the list of fixed issues in this release.

If you don't see the update, check and follow the steps suggested here.

Thanks,

Om

Hi all,

Request you to search for discussions similar to the issues you are facing or create a new discussion so that we can assist. Every issue can be unique and need different approaches or troubleshooting steps.

Thanks,

Having a problem with text box's flowing into a new text box - this extra thin box comes as well and spans to the bottom of the 50 page document...text doesnt flow naturally. Not sure if this is a new thing but I have never seen it before today.

Additional bugs not addressed in Adobe's report:

-InDesign won't close -- must be force closed

-Color selection tool doesn't work

-Color selection dialogue box will not close unless you press "Escape"

-Frame edges appear despite selecting "Hide Frame Edges"

-Cmd+S only occasinally works to save. Best save procedure at this time is Cmd+W and select save in the Dialogue box when asked if you'd like to save your document

This is all I've found so far, but I'm about to start doing layouts in Illustrator this is so bad.

The best place to post bugs (and to see if they're already listed by others and/or already in the process of being fixed) is the InDesign User Voice. Here's a link:

https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs

It has several advantages: (1) You don't duplicate what's already been asked for. (2) You're directly communicating to the product managers and engineers who read the bug reports regularly. (3) You can get others to vote for your bug requests which brings them to the top of the list to be fixed. (4) You'll hear from the product manager when the bug(s) are being workd on.

Problems using Merge Data and bulk QR:

1. preview and merged multiple pages does not match

2. repeat of the same record over and over for multiple pages!

3. the repeated record is random, does not go in order of the source file (tested txt and csv)

this is extremely frustrating!

@Lola,

You'll get more attention for your problem if you create a new bug report here with a new title. Most of us who read this aren't using the feature. Just a suggestion.

Hi there,

Really sorry to hear about this. It seems the extensions are not able to load. Please try quitting all Adobe services, including the CC Desktop app and other background services and relaunch InDesign. You can use Activity Monitor to do that.

If the problem persists, please reach out to our phone or chat support so that one of the experts can check it at your machine level and help you further.

Thanks,

Om

Bug Report – fortunately only for the documentation on bugs fixed 🙂

The link for "Vertical alignment in text frames working incorrectly" is incorrect. It points to a column rule color issue, under review. It should link to "Vertical Text Alignment not working correctly in InDesign 2020 – Fixed" instead.
