No information displayed in the InDesign paragraph palette

All of a sudden, my Paragraph palette is completely empty. Where you can normally set the left and right indents, the first line indent, the space before and after the paragraph, etc. there are no fields at all. I have quite ID, discarded my preferences and restarted the computer. Nothing has brought it back. I had a similar problem with the Character palette a few weeks ago. The problem with the Paragraphs palette seems to have surplanted the one with the Character palette, which is now working fine again. For the Character palette, I tried all the same things, including (if I recall) re-installing ID. I am running ID 18.4 on a Macbook Air, OS Monterey 12.0.1. Attached is a screen capture of what my Paragraph palette looks like.

Is it just me or are the Adobe products just getting flakier and flakier?

I tried one more reinstall and it appears I’m now back to normal. But this is a good suggestion to keep in my back pocket. Thank you!

I saved my settings and then used the Uninstall utility and then reinstalled ID and things appear to be working for now. I have no idea how long it will last. Thanks for the suggestions, folks!

Try deleting the cache, UI issues are sometimes fixed by doing so

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
