No link when importing an Excel file into Indesign

I'm in the process of formatting a document that imports property tables from Excel. Before the new update, I automatically had a link between my Excel document and my Indesign document. This allowed me to easily track updates to my Excel document. However, since the new update, as soon as I import my tables, the link is no longer there. But when I try to import them into a document dating from before the update, the link is created automatically. I've tried comparing my import parameters, but I can't find the problem...
My only solution is to copy/paste from an old document.

Does anyone have this problem or a solution for creating a link?

Thank you!
