Thanks for reporting this, and I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue.

Could you please confirm your InDesign version, operating system and version, and whether this affects only this cloud document or all your cloud documents?

In the meantime, please try opening the document from both the Creative Cloud Desktop app and Adobe Home (Files | Adobe) to see if the behavior is the same. Also, sign out of the Creative Cloud Desktop app, sign back in, and try downloading or opening the document again.

If available, check the document's Version History and see if you're able to restore or create a copy of an earlier version. Ref: Revert to earlier versions of cloud documents | Creative Cloud

If the issue still persists, please share:

• The cloud document link (if possible)

• A short screen recording showing the issue

• The exact error message displayed when the download fails

We'll be happy to investigate this further once we have these details.

By "the cloud," do you mean Adobe Creative Cloud?
Or is it a different cloud service?

Also, is this topic related to Adobe Stock?
