No native full screen on Mac OS?

I heavily use mission control to help switch between apps on mac os, as well as other gestures. Is it true that adobe products such as InDesign still don't support full screen and additional Mac OS features such as mission control? Yes I know you can get the window to go full screen, but it does not have the Mac OS functionality that helps with quickly switching between full screen windows.

InDesign still maximizes the window like older versions of macOS, and does not use the newer macOS full screen.

    thanks. I guess they gave up on this feature. I suppose it would require a total reworking of all the apps and major testing and updates with Mac OS iterations, so it is better to just leave it working and not break it? Still sad to miss out on core Mac OS functionality.
