No zoom with the mouse wheel

I have a problem with my InDesign.
When I want to zoom there is no with the mouse wheel. It moves the display further away from me and not closer. In Photoshop and the other programs it does work for me, but not in InDesign. And it's really annoying. Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi @Kevin27762079mzpd:

     

    As per @leo.r, this is a reported 2024 bug. You can reinstall 2023 through the Creative Cloud Desktop App.

     

    I would personally leave them both installed but return to 2023 until we get the all clear on the 2024 updates. A lot of applications have bugs in their .0 release (though the InDesign 19.0/2024 release will be remembered forever!). 

     

    When you get a notification that the patch is available, let that serve as a reminder to come back here and see what other people are reporting.

    thank you for the solution. the entire program is just slow, and laggy. the movements and transitiions are disjointed. everything i try to do.. it just feels like there's a bad circuit and its constantly flipping on and off. I never know if what Im doing is going to work. it feels broken

      Your description is lacking some details. Are you referring to the scrubby zoom? If so, it only works on Mac with GPU Performance enabled.

      No. I'm talking about a normal display distance that works in all systems
      (Office, Adobe) but I don't know why in the new version of InDesign I can't
      get closer to the display with the mouse wheel

        Have you checked for updated mouse drivers?
