Not able to copy/paste from indesign CC2020 to Illustrator CC2020

Hi, I'm not able to copy and paste a text from Indesign to Illustrator after updating to the new versions. It used to be possible but, now it's just pasting what I've copied last within Illustrator. Not the text element that I copied in Indesign.

Has the function to copy between programmes been removed or is it now optional and I can turn it back on somehow? If it has been removed I would suggest putting it back in, it didn't work optimal but I think all designer use it to speed up their workflow.

I'm not having a problem on my end. Using ID 2020 and IL 2020. If I copy a text frame from InDesign by selecting it with the Selection tool, it wants to paste it into Illustrator as a PDF object and outlines the text. However if I select the text in InDesign with the  Type tool and paste into a text area in Illustrator, the text pastes just fine.
