Object Rotation of Cover Template

My document (saddle-stitched calendar) has been repeatedly, successfully published in past years. Now however, I cannot get a good cover template that works. The binding isshown as vertical [rather than horizontal as needed]. I have tried both 11 x 8.5 and 8.5 x 11, but am unable rotate the template beccause object rotation functions are disabled. Something is amiss here. Any ideas appreciated, as always, Is telephone support no longer available?
